High five
Kids are just amazing. Particularly, I love the way they speak. Frank and simple with a twist of innocence. Don’t get me wrong, that doesn’t mean they don’t lie. It’s just that whenever I pose a question, their response is an eye-opener to me. Hey, it’s either they know or don’t know, as simple as that. They are oblivious to the consequences of their answers. Unlike us, who have more than enough issues to ponder upon. So, why are we burying ourselves in complexity?
Indeed, the vibrant and bright behaviour of kids is enough to make us happy and the joy in them spreads. It’s hard to resist communicating with them. Honestly, I like to tell them good things about life in a very childish manner. I always do that. You know you are still a child at heart when a child loves being with you. After all, you have to be like them in order to savour those child-like, naive moments.
Zhe is the son of my cousin brother. A smart, handsome and cheerful boy possessing a certain degree of eloquence who is merely 3 years old. He was asking me to go to his house to play computer games with him. What a great invitation I thought. He and his sister were ‘torturing’ my phone for the whole afternoon. Although they didn’t manage to understand the concept of the game, they looked ecstatic after every round of the game. That is what I called innocence. You don’t have to win to be in high spirits.
Another thing I noticed: Kids love high five.

Zhe's awful face.. hehe
Nice.
The world has become so nasty that many humans have evolved into ignorant creatures. Each leading seperate lives, sweeping merely the snow in front of their doorsteps. Busy, busy and busy- the tone of urbanites today. We are so busy that we have forgotten the basic way of life-how to communicate and acknowledge the fact that no man is an island.
Nothing beats the feeling of meeting nice people in our daily lives. Being nice doesn’t mean that someone has to go the extra mile to provide help. Even a little gesture or a sincere ‘thank you’ is enough to keep someone going. Whenever at work, it is often the customers’ simple and sincere gratitude that makes me happy. Not forgetting those smiles that linger on my mind the whole day. That is when I know that every effort that I put in was worth it.
Nice means pleasant. Nice means not nasty. Nice, is such a soothing word. No more, no less. With nice words and nice deeds, the world will be a better place to live in. Just be nice. You will never know that you will be making someone happy.
It doesn’t require much to be nice, bL!nk$t@R.
Wait
Bus stop was my first destination this morning. After quite a long while, there I was again. Haze covers the sky as I barely see the sunlight. But I was feeling great without the heat.
History repeats and I missed the first bus again. I spent the next 40 minutes of my life waiting for the second bus. Worst still, I had to remain standing at the roadside along the highway as I breathe in those polluted gases. Nevertheless, something unusual was noted. There is no sign of frustration or impatience. All I do was wait. Cars zoomed by and thoughts fly into my head.
It evoked my memory on an article that I’ve read and kept about patience. Patience allows you to savour calmness. No rush. No scurry. Just allow the future to emerge at its own pace. When we wait, we pause for the moment. We will start to notice the surroundings that we tend to overlook all this while. So busy pursuing the future that we neglected the present.
Sitting this particular bus and facing the wierd behaviour of the drivers were sufficient to irked me. Trust me, you won’t want to experience the same thing. But I have to admit that it is through this experience that I acknowledged patience as an important value and managed to upgrade my patience level. It was also the tool for me to overcome frustration and send serenity to my mind.
Patience pays.
p/s: I hate queue-jumpers. During traffic jams too. Don’t understand why are they so selfish and just can’t wait.
Relearn to wait, bL!nk$t@R.
Badminton-ing + Steamboat-ing
An action-packed afternoon in a hot and humid weather. Before this, lifting up the badminton racket was a past tense to me. But this week onwards, I’m working hard to make it a present tense and this requires consistency. Our class was down with the badminton fever lately after the assignment period comes to an end. We played for twice last week and everyone managed to sweat it out. It’s rightful to say that our class has many great talents in this game. That’s why you can see many badminton enthusiast around here. I’m anticipating the next session as more workout is needed to prepare for my upcoming challenge.
After burning those calories last friday, we adjourned to Sunway Mentari for steamboat buffet. What a bad decision made by me and I can foresee the needle racing to a higher figure on the weighing machine! Furthermore, I have to stuffed those unfinished food down to my stomach, thanks to someone! Bloated-the best word to describe my condition on that night. Seriously, I even felt like throwing up when I was on my way back, likely due to indigestion.
After all, it was a great session of interaction and fun with them.
Play hard, though exam is knocking on the door, bL!nk$t@R.
Freed, temporarily
Being delighted should be my first feeling at the moment my parents are off to the airport. To admit, few days before their departure, I am already anticipating the arrival of those days where I can wear the crown and sit on the throne. However, there is a sense of pressure bugging me although it’s my freedom festival.
Yes, I need not hear those naggings, nobody is going to bother me and it is needless to report my daily schedule. Basically, I’m freed from the bird cage temporarily. When your parents are away, you can claim yourself as the master and you may do anything as you wish as long as no trouble is caused. It does sounds nice but I can guarantee that there is a certain degree of invisible obligations. Unless you are totally ignorant of what is happening around you and don’t have to care, if not you are no different from me.

So, there is a long list of things to do. Laundry, groceries shopping, prayer, gardening, just to name a few. Mind you, freedom comes with responsibility. Definitely, it’s not easy as it arrives with expectations. Doing the things you suppose to do is one thing. Doing the things right is another matter. That’s why the latter is holding me back from immersing myself in enjoyment.
Despite all of this, I’m able to enjoy cooking with no interference this time. The great feeling of being a chef, I’m smelling it now. Great plans are awaiting me ahead and I’m looking forward to the upcoming meet-up session with my friends. Oh yea, my stomach will thank me because I’m going to fill it with loads of yummy stuffs.
Currently out of the bird cage, bL!nk$t@R.
More than a burger
It was a long wait till I’m able to get a taste of Ramly burger once again. Do you know that everytime during my journey back home, I will definitely pass by this particular little burger stall and give it a good stare? It sounds pitiful. I just don’t know why I can’t just pull over aside, drop by the stall and buy it.

Is your saliva drooling down?
This afternoon, it happened so randomly. “Hey, let’s eat Ramly burger!”. We were passing by the burger stall along the way and we ordered it after nodding heads. You see, sometimes things can be done instantaneously instead of waiting for it to appear. Because by acting on it, we get what we want. It makes me happy albeit small request. *tongue-in-cheek*
Revision is in progress and I’ll meet the 3rd person in heaven tonight (Don’t worry, it’s merely a story).

Aficionado of Art
The story of ‘Angel & Demon’ has been nicely told. It seems that everyone has different opinions on it. But honestly, I enjoyed watching it. A fantastic tour of Rome where sculptures meet architecture. An insight into the Vatican and Catholic. A dramatic storyline. No regrets watching it although we were late for the movie.
I’m an aficionado of Italy (since when? I don’t know) and it must be one of the places to be visited before I leave this world. After watching this movie, I really felt like flying to there immediately. Thinking back, I guess one of the reasons that prompted me to love Italy is because of my thirst of art. Art in terms of music, fine arts, theatre and anything that requires creativity. Since the day I got my wings, it set foot into my life naturally.
It’s unexplainable. Maybe these are regarded as ‘old man’ affairs by youngsters nowadays, but I truly value its existence. Talking about that, I’m really obsessed with classic stuffs these days, seriously. Whenever the radio is on, please play some oldies. If not, you will see my itchy hand switching the channels non-stop. Likewise, there are also many little behaviours which can proof that I’m undergoing ‘regression’.
