I found this amazing book to complement my “7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens” book. This book is written my Jay McGraw, the son of the famous Dr. Phil who always appears in Oprah Winfrey’s show. It is not that sort of book whereby it is filled with boring words only as it has pictures and sketches throughout the book.(If not, i would not have read it) Basically, this book teaches us about the 10 Life Laws based on his father’s years of experience and study.. Here they are:
- You either get it, or you don’t
- You create your own experience
- People do what works
- You cannot change what you do not acknowledge
- Life rewards action
- There is no reality, only perception
- Life is managed, it is not cured
- We teach people how to treat us
- There is power in forgiveness
- You have to name it before you can claim it
We seem to struggle everyday, right? For those who still don’t really know how to manage life, this book will definitely help you to tackle challenges in life. As for those who are pros, there is no harm reading this book in order to further enhance each aspect of your life. What the author said is right: “There is nothing more frustarting than trying to play a game when you don’t know the rules, you don’t know the objectives and you don’t have the skills that you need to be good at the game”. As such, know your rules well, play your game extraodinarily and be prepared to be rewarded.
P/s: Don’t always break rules, but occasionally must!! For what? It’s definitely for FUN!!
