Good grades? Fulfilling life? August 19, 2008

Hey, I have a question: Do good grades lead to a successful yet fulfilling life? From young, everyone wants us to obtain good results especially our parents. We were taught that good results lead to a good future. Ok, lets see.  A good result enables us to enter a good university. A good university probably leads us to a good job. A good job guarantees us a good income. A good income maybe gives us a good life. In the end, what will happen? Everything will come to an end. It’s not that achieving goodness in everything is bad. But I just want to ask, how many things have passed by without us noticing in order to pursue these ‘good’ things? What i mean is love, family, friends, fun, and many little yet meaningful things around us. At least, I did grab these things in my fist tightly. Can you tell me, so what if i have good grades? So what if I have a good salary in the future? Will I be happy, contented and blissful? Or am i just a silly nut who leads a meaningless life and cares nothing about the world until my time comes? Seriously, I am really sick of those things so-called glory. Look at those people who chase after good grades and money blindly and look at those people who choose to survive because of their passion, hopes and dreams. You will see the difference.
